Do Class Sizes Affect Students Education!

Many People do not ever think about how the amount of students per classroom could take a toll on the student’s education. The question, Do Class Sizes Affect Students Education is an important question because it is important to figure out if this is a problem or not so that school district decision makers can make the right choice to make classes smaller or to keep them the way they are. This question would be important for many readers from parents, grandparents, taxpayers, and even future parents. This question is important to me because I am going to school to become a teacher and I want to make sure that all my students get the most out of what I teach them, and I do not want the my class size being the reason my students do not succeed in their education. Along with this question I would like to answer many other like, what is a good amount of students per classroom? What kind of difficulties teachers deal with having large classroom sizes? And what us as taxpayers can do to make sure those children are in classrooms with the right amount of students to have a successful learning experience?  I believe that class sizes do affect a student’s education because when there are 30+ kids in a classroom how is it possible for one teacher to make sure that all their students understand the material? One of the main reasons I decided to go to Front Range right out of high school and not a big university is because I didn't think I would do well in my classes if they had 100+ students in them. I have found through out the years that I learn better in a small classroom setting because I ask many questions and like my instructors to know me by name. I plan on finding answers for this topic through data bases like the Colorado department of education and center for public education.

  1. 1. What did you find interesting about the response? I find the topic itself pretty interesting because I think students learn more and better in a smaller class size.

    2. What would you add to this post? OR What questions does this post generate for you about the topic?I wouldn't add anything this far into the post. Questions I have tho are do the students prefer small or large classes? why?

    3. What do you agree OR disagree with and why? I myself agree with the fact that students learn more in smaller class room sizes. In am speaking on personal experience, I know I learn a lot better in a smaller setting just because it's easier to ask for help and the teacher actually has more time to help you versus not having anytime or not fully answering your questions when you need help. I am all for smaller class sizes.
